Big Boulder Downieville shuttle safely transports mountain bikers and their mountain bikes from the town of Downieville at 2900 feet of elevation up to Packer Saddle at the Sierra Crest at 7,100 feet of elevation where the Downieville trails begin. Our Downieville shuttle allows riders to focus on the fun they can have riding the trails down to Downieville rather than having to deal with 5000 feet of climbing(!!!). Get on the fun train! If you want a big day, do two shuttles for many hours on some of the best trails in the world.
Our Downieville shuttle drops you off at the main starting point for all of the epic Downieville trails, from the super fun Downieville Downhill trails to the more adventurous and ridiculously beautiful Gold Valley Rim Trail with techy Pauly Creek. And for strong riders, who want to "get out there", the Big Boulder Trail.
We also have a Downieville-worthy bike rental fleet if you need a bike or a bigger bike for the Downieville rocks.
We have years of experience shuttling Downieville riders to the top, we carefully load all mountain bikes so they don't rub on the shuttle journey, we take care of our riders to make sure they are comfortable, and we unload bikes with care. We know what to do. And we are here to help you do what you want to do. So ask us any questions and we'll be happy to help you out.
Big Boulder Downieville shuttle owner Billy has the record for most shuttle runs in a day! 10 runs! Billy created this challenge as a fundraiser, raising $7000 to support funding a full-year medic position in the Downieville Fire Department so Downieville could have some basic healthcare in emergencies. Which includes mountain biker emergencies.
